Another useful item relating to time is the Time Keeper's Secret, which makes time stop when you drop to low health. Starting early on saving time can help you drastically throughout the course of your game, and those simple seven seconds can go a LONG way. If you have the opportunity, and no upcoming battles, using the watch purely for time savings is not a terrible idea. With only about a minute cooldown, the watch can give you seven seconds of frozen time, where you can travel, loot, kill enemies and bosses, or whatever you so desire. Seriously, if you have some stupid use item that you can't or don't want to use, get an Unstable Watch, cause that thing is sweet as heck. Items that help with time are EXTREMELY helpful. It will be harder than normal to loot, considering you'll have a boss and waves of monsters chasing after you, but every little bit counts, right? Use this time to explore and find loot on the map. These ninety seconds cannot be avoided, so it's smart to take advantage of every second you can. To effeciently use time, a smart idea is to use the ninety seconds of time you have to wait after activating the telporter to explore parts of the map. If you want to advance on, you have to be able to trace your way back there. When you find a teleporter on a map, you MUST remember where it is. One of the biggest parts of the game, this point on the map is where you will have to leave the level. Purely just by playing, you will slowly learn the layout of each map, making it easier for you to find your way around without wasting near as much time as you have before. This means that spare time is a luxury you can only afford in certain situations! When playing, you have to try to avoid unnessecary wastes of time. Every minute the clock goes up by, enemies get stronger and spawn faster. Simple enough, right? And much more beneficial then the more restrictive option of item sharing in the pregame lobby. Let your friend know that it's there, and they can come and grab it. Someone buys an item from a chest, and BAM! Healing item. An example would be if someone is running low on health and needs more regen items. ![]() ![]() This option is nice sometimes, but if you are close or familiar with your crew, it's much more beneficial to turn it off and let you and your team sort the items themselves. Basically, when someone has more points than everyone else, each item they get will have to be shared with another person. ![]() This system can be helpful if your teammates (or you for that matter,) aren't very good when it comes to sharing. One of the most recent updates to the game was the additional option in a pregame lobby to enable item sharing. If everyone has these goals in mind, you will almost always win. Just be nice to others, share a couple items if you can, help a guy struggling with a boss, whatever you can to assist someone else. The Risk of Rain community is a friendly, polite community, so a mistake now and then won't hurt you. ![]() As long as you are nice to your fellow teammates, and help as much as you can to your ability, you should be fine. Basically, heres the scoop: DON'T BE A BUTTHEAD. This section will be pretty short, since hopefully most of you learned how to be nice and helpful in kindergarden.
